We are an independent agency of about 800 staff, working throughout NSW to service the main court centres. Our 10 offices have a mix of Crown Prosecutors, Solicitor Advocates, Solicitors and support staff.

Our role

The NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) prosecutes serious crimes under NSW law on behalf of the community.

We have about 800 staff including, Solicitors, Crown Prosecutors, support staff, Witness Assistance Officers and corporate service employees.

Leadership team

The Director of Public Prosecutions is the head of NSW's independent prosecution service. The other senior office holders are also appointed by the NSW Attorney General.
